You said you were fine

Someone asks how you are. You say fine. They say good. And the conversation moves on, carrying everything you didn't say along with it.
Most of us do this dozens of times a week. Not because we're lying, but because "fine" is easier. It doesn't ask anything of the other person. It doesn't risk being too much. It keeps the day moving.
The trouble is that the things we don't say don't disappear. They sit with us. On the drive home, at three in the morning, in the moment we snap at someone who didn't deserve it. Small worries that could have been put down early get carried for months instead.
Simply Heard exists for the rest of that sentence. The part after "fine".
You don't need a crisis to book a session. You don't need the right words, a diagnosis, or a reason that feels big enough. Many people come to us with nothing more than "I just need to say it out loud to someone who isn't involved."
That's enough. That's exactly what we're here for.
A Simply Heard listener won't judge you, advise you or try to fix you. They'll simply listen, properly and in confidence, for as long as your session lasts. Often, hearing yourself say something out loud is the first time it starts to make sense.
So next time "fine" comes out automatically, notice it. And if there's more behind it, you know where there's a chair waiting.
When you're ready, we always have a chair for you.
